Our family

We’re fortunate to have a loving and supportive family nearby. Brian’s parents are a 30-minute drive away in Pittsboro and Ali’s cousin and her family lives in Rolesville, about 40 minutes away on the other side of Wake County. Having our family so close means we'll have help every step of the way.

Ali’s mom lives in The Villages, Florida, just an hour from Disney World, while her dad is in Brewton, Alabama, not far from the beautiful beaches of the Gulf Coast. Though they’re farther away, we stay close through calls, visits, and shared stories, and we love knowing we have family in such warm and inviting places.

Friends

We're blessed with a tight-knit group of friends. Brian even officiated a wedding between two of them.

We have excellent neighbors with annual traditions — birthdays, pumpkin carving, and outdoor gatherings.

Fuzzy family

We have a big, fluffy cat named Georgie who showed up on our front porch in Arkansas and never left. In 2024, we said goodbye to our sweet black cat, Echo, who spent her happiest days curled up in Ali’s lap, showered with love and care. Ali has a soft spot for all creatures and cares for the woodland creatures in our backyard. She’s especially fond of Mama Squirrel, who eagerly shows up for her daily supply of peanuts—probably a few too many!
